A little under the weather

It is strange how we rarely get sick around here, but when we do, it is always during a school break. Seems the Twins and I have the coughing, sneezing, low grade fever kind of cold.

We have hankies, kleenexes and cough drops strewn about. The faithful humidifiers plugged in, beds unmade and medicine bottles here and there. It could be worse.

The biggest hurdle is functioning without sleep. Who can sleep while hacking constantly? Not I. I have coffee to hold me over.

Two more days until Christmas, I have cleaning and baking to do. One or two more presents to wrap. I feel like a little kid....anticipating and counting down.
Merry Christmas Ya'll!!

Which Reindeer are you? I am Dancer

I snagged this from Cowboy Greg...

You Are Dancer
Carefree and fun, you always find reasons to do a happy dance.
Why You're Naughty: That dark stint you had as Santa's private dancer.
Why You're Nice: You're friendly. Very friendly.
Which of Santa's Reindeer Are You?

Elf Impersonator

Yesterday was a lovely and funny day, I was an Elf impersonator!

And you know that sayin' "Kids say the darnest things"? Oh, it is so true.
A little adorable kindergarten girl came up to me and asked "Are your ears pointed"? I was startled and asked her to please repeat the question. To which she replied, "I want to know if your ears are pointed?" And "May I see your ears"? So, I went along with the majic of make believe and replied "Yes my ears are big and pointed and no you may not see them, because if I take this hat off, I would loose all my warmth and become too cold or possibly get sick , and then I would be unable to work for Santa"

Then another little boy full of silver teeth asked me "Is Santa Really Real?"
I had numerous requests for presents and many more questions. It was very enjoyable and I look forward to serving again next year.

Just Wondering....

Its just 11 more days until Christmas and I still have not made up my mind.
What am I going to prepare for dinner? I do NOT want the traditional turkey and dressing. We just had that a month ago. Yet it does not seem right to do otherwise.
I would like mexican food or seafood...anything rather than the norm.
I have all my ducks in a row, except the contents of our meal.

Tomorrow I will be an elf, helping Santa pass out stuff to all the students at school. Friday, I will somehow divide myself between the Twins classrooms and prepare for their "Winter Holiday" party.

Today I have an auction to do (Twin A gets tokens, for my contribution) And it seems more desirable to me than the Jingle Bell Run that I participated in last week, outside in 32 degree weather. I felt like Forrest Gump, the boys yelling at me as they passed me by "Run Mama Run!"

Then I need to make up gift bags for all the boys classmates. I had a bunch of pencils printed up "Happy Birthday Jesus" and more that say "Merry Christmas! With Love, Caleb & Christian.

The Twins will be singing on stage at church again this weekend. They chose "Away in a Manger". Which happens to be one of my favorite Christmas songs.

Anyway, I am still wondering what's for dinner. What do you have or what would you want other than the traditional turkery?

I am back to bloggin'

I miss blogging and all the friends I have made on my journey in blogland. I deleted my previous blog a while back. My emotions played a big part in that decision and now my heart is leading me back.

Out of the blue the other day, I received an email from rowan and my curiosity overwhelmed me...I just had to go check on her and see how she was doing. I realize how much I missed her.

Then I went to check on the ultimate diane her blog was/is one that I check out almost daily! I was startled on a recent post (Dec 6th) of hers titled "Old blogs don't die they just..." And reading it made me realize that I wanted to come back to blogging.

So, here I am looking forward to the New Year and perusing all of my favorite blog jaunts!!
