Brrrrh! It is cold!
I don't know about temperature in your neck of the woods, but it is mighty dang cold here in Texas! I guess I should not complain it could be worse like over in Missourri. I feel for those folks without power and many of them dying trying to stay warm.
Last year we only reached freezing once or twice. So far this year we have tripled that. Texas is usually pretty mild in November and December....but not this time around.
Makes it a tad bit more difficult for gettin' out shopping, especially when it is a lot more comfortable for this elf to get online and peruse.
My lil one wants a deer rifle for Christmas and THAT IS ALL HE WANTS or so he says. But he ain't gettin' it. He is only 9 yrs old and never been deer huntin' a day in his life. My husband only hunts about once every 5 or so years. He is gonna have to wait until he gets a gun safety course under his belt.
The other Twin wants a big ol' 4-wheeler, it has been on his wish list now for 3 years...BUT he will have to keep it on his list. They are against the law unless you are over 16 yrs old. I found that out last year when I went to get him one.
Oh let me share this one with ya- On Thanksgiving we always order a Honeybaked ham. Did the same this year and on Thanksgiving night we get a call from their company informing us that alot the hams were contaminated with the Listeria bacterium. Of course my siblings and I began to feel sick upon hearing this. After much digging through the trash containers, we find the UPC code and call the 1-800 number back. Much to our glee this particular ham was bacteria free. But I go out to the freezer to get the code off of my Christmas Turkey and luckily find out that it is contaminated. Therefore I am thankful that we did not eat this Turkey for Thanksgiving. Quite a bit of people die every year from this bacteria, especially the elderly and very young.
Hopefully no one passed away due to these infected hams and/or turkeys. We really were quite thankful.

We have had a bit of a cold snap here but thankfully it is starting to warm up again. 70s is just right. It is sad that people are suffering because of the weather.
Wow a Deer Rifle....lol I would drop dead if Sam asked me for that. Sam wants a video camera... talk about being older than his 10 years.
Matt is in to Star Wars in the biggest of ways.
I am glad you checked your meat. Nothing worse than bacteria.
Take care xx
Eating is such a scary prospect anymore!
Happy Holidays!
Yikes. you're making me nervous for Christmas.
Now you tell us about the turkeys and hams!
I'm off to Krogers, I had wanted to go to WalMart for a return but will have to wait because it's getting late.
I had no idea you had a daughter in her twenties. I had been thinking she was your sister?
I'm glad she is steadily improving.

Thank God for the tracking codes!! Y'all stay safe and warm!
Not having died from Thanksgiving dinner is certainly something to be thankful for. Blessings abound, don't they.
I also hope you don't die from Christmas dinner. A sort of two for one.
I would have freaked out too! We usually get them also. The hams, not lysteria. :)
Merry Christmas!
Happy New Year -- are you ready to blog again? I hope all is going well with you guys.
I need to get to the Montgomery WM soon, will trudge over to the garden dept.
